An alternative Education System organized by PBRSSM under P & RD Deptt., Govt. of West Bengal. Sishu Shiksha Karmasuchi (for Std.-I to Std-IV) was launched in 1997 and Madhyamik Shiksha Karmasuchi (Std.-V to Std.-VIII) was launched in 2003. Both the Karmasuchi were launched in view of mainstreaming of the out of school children and other under privileged children of the remotest areas of the district. But at present both the Karmasuchis have gained enormous popularity.

          In this Academic year, there are 1417 nos. of SSK & 153 nos. of MSK are functioning in the district with 96254 no. of Learners (from Pre-Primary to Standard-VIII)
